Friends of the Savannah Coastal Wildlife Refuges Announces:
"Spring Cleaning Day"at
Savannah National Wildlife Refuge
Join members of the Friends group on THURSDAY, MAY 21st, 2009, at 10 AM to give the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge a good spring cleaning. We will be trimming shrubs, picking up debris, spraying and weeding, cleaning signs and other activities all designed to enhance our visitors' experience and maintain the appearance of the refuge.
We will meet just inside the gate of the Laurel Hill Wildlife Drive. Bring your favorite pruning equipment, as well as bug spray, sun screen, and lunch. Drinks will be provided.
In case of inclement weather, all of those who RSVP will be notified the morning of the 21st before 9:00 AM of any change in plans.

If you are not already a registered FWS volunteer, you will be required to sign a daily volunteer form.
This volunteer outing will require some walking, stooping and bending, and some lifting. Please take these physical demands into account before deciding to participate.
