SUMMER 2012 

Summer 2012 brings much that's new for Upstream Gallery.  The second and third of our FREE Live at The Upstream musical evenings are coming up.  On Thursday July 12th, we will welcome Adam Hart & Ken Tucillo with classic and roots rock (see below). The series will close with Matt Turk on Thursday, September 6th.   

Also this summer, we are initiating Summer Hours, beginning Friday, July 6th and running through Labor Day.  Our hours will be 3-8 pm on Fridays, and Saturday-Sunday from 12:30-5:30 pm.  Don't miss this summer's large scale group show on view in both galleries from July 6th through Labor Day.  Please note the gallery will be closed for the 4th of July holiday, June 31st and July 1st.  

And last but not least, for the second year in a row, we are pleased to host the year end exhibition of work by students from Dobbs Ferry High School.  This is a special group of students who are all participants in the International Baccalaureate Program in Visual Arts.      

Please support these talented youngsters by turning out for the Dobbs Ferry High School reception on Sunday, June 24th, beginning at 1 pm.

June 21st through June 29th: Art Students of the Dobbs Ferry High School at Upstream.  Opening reception: Sunday June 24th, 1 pm. 

July 6th through September 6th: Upstream Group Show

September 13th through October 7th:  Lanny Lasky Retrospective Exhibit; Opening Reception Sunday September 23rd, 2-5 pm.  

Upstream Gallery was started in 1991 by a group of Westchester artists who were looking for a venue to show their work outside of traditional commercial galleries.

The gallery has two street level exhibition spaces.  The current artist members work in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, collage / assemblage, print-making and photography.  Styles range from the representational to the abstract.  Members have shown in a wide variety of exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. Upstream encourages artists to submit their work for review.  Submissions are reviewed on a monthly basis.
