Greetings!
Last month we attended the the AFCEA Joint Warfighting show in Virginia Beach. It was a huge success!  We made a lot of great contacts and we were able to show off some really innovative technologies being used for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (read more below).
We also added more Haiti papers to the TIDES website and updated our social networking sites. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter!
Highlights from Joint Warfighting 10
Last month we attended the AFCEA Joint Warfighting Conference in Virginia Beach, VA. The TIDES booth looked great! On our first day we had hundreds of visitors stop by and we got to show off some really cool technologies being used for humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and stabilization and reconstruction.

Talking to visitors about TIDES
During the kickoff address, LTG Michael L. Oates talked about the importance of information sharing and rapid fielding--issues very important to the TIDES project.

On the last day of the show, Gen Mattis, Commander, U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM), stopped by to discuss information sharing and equipment for disaster relief. It was a huge honor to have him visit our booth.

New Haiti Papers
Check out the TIDES website for the newest Haiti paper, Crisis Mapping and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake.  This paper examines factors that contributed to the success of the Crisis Mappers response to the Haiti earthquake and how these successes can be applied in future situations.
