Greetings Open Door Art Studio Fans!
September is traditionally a month of transition. School starts back up, leaves start to change on the trees and the holiday season begins with Halloween on the horizon. Here at Open Door we are excited for these changes. Although we loved the heat and hectic nature of summer, we can't help but get excited for what fall has in store. Read on to learn about our current and upcoming exhibitions, a fun arts festival and the talented Jenny DeBrier, September's featured artist.
We hope you will enjoy the change of seasons as much as us!

FEATURED ARTIST | | Jenny DeBrier
 | Miracle Grow A Go Go
|
Jenny DeBrier loves all animals, but cats hold a special place in her heart. They are also featured heavily in her plentiful drawings and have inspired various other projects. Jenny also enjoys drawing "butterflies and rainbows and flowers and rabbits" and her bright personality matches the cheerful nature of her illustrations. Jenny loves learning new techniques and will occasionally branch out in her subject matter. Recently she has depicted several superheroes in her artwork. Not surprisingly, Catwoman seems to be her favorite! When asked what superpower Jenny would like to have, she proudly says "Love."
Jenny has been interested in arts and crafts as long as she can remember. Originally from Carbondale, Illinois, Jenny has lived in Ohio for a very long time. She loves to read, hang out with friends, participate in the Special Olympics and watch television. The Brady Bunch and Sanford and Son are just two of Jenny's favorites TV programs and she is truly a whiz at pop culture trivia. Jenny is very close with her twin sister and her older brother who are both very supportive of her artistic nature. Jenny enjoys when her art is seen and appreciated.
