Calling All Volunteers!
Application Deadline is June 15
Tremendous
Hearts is now accepting applications for volunteer positions
in Cape Town, South Africa! We are recruiting a team of 4-8 volunteers
to serve in children's homes and other agencies that support orphans and
vulnerable children beginning in January 2011.
Volunteering
with Tremendous Hearts is a great opportunity to make a real and
sustainable difference in
the lives of children in residential care in
South Africa. Our volunteers commit to a full year of service and to
projects designed to build the capacity of the service partner with two
goals in mind: improving the standard of care in the children's home
and increasing the organization's ability to find a "forever
family" for the child within the extended family or through fostering
and adoption.
Volunteering in Cape Town will change your life
and the lives of those whom you serve. We're seeking resourceful,
mature, adventuresome and highly skilled people who understand
the difference between helping and serving. If you
have a heart for
service and for children, South Africa's most vulnerable citizens need
your skills and experience!

Want to know more about Tremendous Hearts' program or the OVC crisis in South Africa? Join founder, Marilyn Votaw, for an informative webinar on Saturday, June 5, 2010 beginning at 12:15 p.m. EST. Marilyn will be talking with participants about South Africa's OVCs and their needs, Tremendous Hearts' work in Cape Town and how volunteers can make a difference in a child's life. She will also be available to answer questions about applying for our program and living in Cape Town. Pre-registration is necessary but FREE.
