BYOD ready Wireless LAN delivering high speed connectivity to 121 schools across Dumfries and Galloway
Boston Networks recently designed, commissioned and installed a state of the art WLAN solution throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
The high speed solution was designed to deliver a single, cohesive network to offer Wi-Fi coverage to each of the 121 Primary and Secondary Schools in the Dumfries & Galloway Council region.
The network is now fully operational and used by both teachers and students alike and is now the primary vehicle to support teaching staff when delivering digital content, real time in the classroom. The teaching faculty use the network widely to share knowledge, pool resources and collaborate, where as students can now benefit from a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) approach to learning.
