Interim President's Message

Sherry McKillop, PPC

Sherry McKillop

Greetings!

The gentle transition between spring and summer is almost complete. I find my face lifted in gratitude toward the warming sun.

As coaches (and those who have been coached ourselves at times) this is the almost imperceptible sign of progress. Often our clients don't recognize that progress until we acknowledge the powerful and courageous work they have done to "handle" whatever issue they came to address in coaching. Then one can see them swell with their own realization, much like a flower opening to the newly dawning day. They begin to approach the future with quiet confidence.

Such is the case with the Sacramento Coaches Association. I want to take a moment to acknowledge your SCA board under the recent direction of Stella Du Pont. Stella's profound commitment to and enthusiasm for our mission (to engage and support professional coaches and promote professional coaching in our community) has lit a fire! Like moths to the flame we have attracted a solid team of dedicated and talented coaches, each committed to provide excellence in the domain they are responsible for.

Just take a look at our new website! Hundreds of hours and lots of feedback went in to making it a useful tool. Come to our next meeting at our new professional meeting place at the Academy for Coaching Excellence. We are riding a new wave of possibility. We invite you to join us as we move into the future together.

Sherry McKillop, Interim President

Meet A Member Cami McLaren

Cami McLaren, CPC     (certified performance coach)

Cami graduated from the Resource Realizations Quantum Coaching Academy in June 2008. She then served as faculty on the Resource Realizations 2008 - 2009 Quantum Coaching Academy.

She obtained her certification as a Certified Relationship Coach in November 2008, as a Certified Leadership Coach in June 2009, and as a NLP (neuro-linguistics programming) practitioner in May 2010.

She graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 1991 and practiced law for 16 years before becoming a CPC.

As a CPC, she brings her experience as a lawyer into her practice, which focuses, in part, on assisting professionals to achieve balance in their lives.

Cami's passion is assisting people in discovering and creating lives they truly love - lives they are excited to wake up to! She is inspired by people who choose to take on their lives in a different way and who choose to make changes in order to align their lives with their personal purpose and values. Her belief is that all people are whole and complete and work perfectly. What people often need is access to their own resources and assistance in discovering where they stop themselves, how to move through their barriers, and what changes they can make to create a fulfilling life. Cami partners with clients to assist them in self-discovery and creating the awareness necessary to make change and create their desired results.
