President's Message

Stella DuPont

Stella DuPont

Greetings!

Coaches who serve on their local board and engage in the activities of their local chapters express a deeper connection to the coaching profession overall. Are you interested in deepening your connection to coaching? If so we are currently accepting nominations to serve on the SCA Board of Directors and filling some committee positions as well.

Do you know someone (perhaps yourself?) who would be great to serve on the Board of Directors for Sacramento Coaches? Nominate someone you know who will be a supporter for Sacramento Coaches; someone fun and awesome who wants to take Sacramento Coaches to the next level! We are looking for coaches who will add value with their participation, special talent and enthusiasm!

And there are benefits! Sacramento Coaches Association has been proud to allocate a set amount of funds to send the incoming president to an ICF regional or international conference each year. This large expense incurred by SCA is for the President to gain knowledge from the ICF and bring back to the chapter any and all pertinent information for our membership such as upcoming changes regarding credentialing, branding and ideas to make our chapter successful. If you are interested in serving as president, or any other board position please contact SueAnn Freeman at SFreeman@activecoachingtechniques.com

Get engaged! Get involved! Get connected!

Meet A Member

Larry Gapinski, M.S., ACC

Are you stuck in a career that you once loved, that has stopped loving you? Do you seek to create a thriving personal relationship with your money? Do you long to recharge your passion for life? Do you want to rekindle the personal connection in your marriage or partnership? Together, we will take effective action and start bringing your greatest aspirations into reality.

As the owner of Heart of Gold Life Coaching, the coaching process has opened my eyes to the importance of being clear about our own personal vision. I believe that we all know, deep down, our true purpose in life. This purpose can become disrupted by the missteps we all experience. The role of a coach is to help untangle the bundle and free the individual to discover the life intentions that give meaning and purpose to life.

I wanted the best possible training in order to facilitate others by being a coach. I chose Maria Nemeth PhD, MCC, as an on-going coach who is a Master Coach (MCC) and Founder of the Academy for Coaching Excellence. My training as a coach was completed in May 2007 from the Academy for Coaching Excellence (an accredited coaching school). I am an Associate Accredited Coach (AAC).

In addition, I have an Investment Management Consultant Certification and a MS in Marriage Family Therapy. I am a current member of the International Coach Federation and a member of the Sacramento Coaches Association.

    Metro Chamber Update

State of the Region Forum

In its 17th year, the Metro Chamber's State of the Region Forum provides a platform to address important regional issues in a manner that opens a multi-dimensional discussion around impediments, opportunities and cooperative region-wide solutions. The State of the Region Forum brings together elected officials and industry sector experts to discuss and develop solutions to regional infrastructure concerns and quality of life issues. In years past, topics have included land use, housing, flood protection, transportation and clean energy technology.

This year's State of the Region forum will focus on the wide range of benefits that civic amenities currently have-and the future possibilities-in the Sacramento region's economic landscape and the pivotal contribution that arts, culture and place-based amenities can provide in the Next Economy.
