President's Message

Stella DuPont

Stella DuPont

Greetings!

I am starting to see evidence of spring everywhere. It's a time of newness and growth. The same can be said for Sacramento Coaches Association. We enter into spring with a wonderful new meeting venue. Maria Nemeth, founder of the Academy for Coaching Excellence, has offered to let us use the Academy's professional meeting room and in so doing the Academy has become the first sponsor of our chapter! We are so grateful to have a consistent and professional meeting place!

With growth in mind we've changed our bylaws so that the incoming president can attend the ICF conference in the fall and the knowledge gained will benefit the chapter all year long. Our nominating committee for board elections, to be held in June, is now in place. If you have an interest in engaging with other professional coaches at a higher level, you might want to consider running for a board position or joining a committee. Please contact me directly and I will get you pointed in the right direction!

Our new website will soon be launched. Thank you to board member Janice Knight for her countless hours of working with the designer. The new site will be friendlier, interactive, and hopefully generate referrals!

Speaking of referrals, I just referred someone to a member coach and she was happy to get the referral. I hope that it works out. Can you refer someone? Take the time to get to know each other at our meetings and events. That is one of the ways we support and promote our professional coaches.

We are excited about our direction! We hope you will join us and bring your ideas. We believe we have the potential to create the best chapter ever! Our monthly meetings are designed to create a more vibrant and fun chapter where all professional coaches can gather and learn from each other. We look forward to bringing in the best possible speakers!

I hope to see you at our next meeting.

Stella Du Pont, President
