The Website below features a blog explaining the purpose of this week-long event, a countdown clock, and ideas for ways to celebrate picture books and the children who love them. As the week draws closer, events will be listed by region, so everyone who decides to plan an event is invited to submit details for posting.

This special event has been established in response to the recent trend  reported in The New York Times last week: Picture Books No Longer a Staple for Children.
