Greetings!
This months blogs offer a listening perspective on the recent news about Shirley Sherrod and the final two blogs of the Mini-MOMA tour. Thank you for joining me! :)

Latest post on the "Have You Heard?" blog (ListenersUnite.com): What happened to Shirley Sherrod was a listening gaff of national proportions and a powerful statement about the importance of listening to the whole story. Also lacking here were critical listening skills, which include asking questions. Especially disheartening is that both the media and the Obama administration were so quick to rush to judgment. July's newsletter featured: " Currently at MOMA: A Virtual Tour," the beginning of a series of blogs (at LindaEveDiamond.com) showing current exhibits at the Museum of Modern Art. The final two entries in this three-part series are now posted: "More Moma" is the second blog on the museum "tour." In March 2010, believe it or not, MOMA announced the acquisition of the @ sign. You'll find more about that and also a work of art created from the film Vertigo. But be careful! Looking up at it might cause vertigo! :) This is the final blog in the series. These final MOMA moments include a wall mural that makes a strong statement about romanticized art depicting the Civil War era; we see the artist's view and how her message is enhanced by her stylistic choice. The final MOMA moment on the Mini-Moma Tour is "A Work of Modern Art Admiring a Work of Modern Art." |
