Happy Listening Month! Below are just a few thoughts about listening and links to more. Also below is a link to my second youtube video, a reading of micro-story that concerns listening.
I hope you enjoy it. Most of all, I hope you enjoy listening to your loved ones and your inner voice. Listening Month is a good time to reflect on where we are and where we want to be. None of us is perfect and we all find ourselves off-course. Listening guides us toward living life to the fullest as our truest, best possible selves, and every small step--every moment of deepened awareness--moves us in the right direction.

LISTENING MONTH
What can you do this month to deepen your listening awareness? This is a good time to set a listening intention, to decide to watch your own listening, pay close attention to any tendency to interrupt others, or have some conversations in which you consciously wait a few seconds before responding to ensure that you've fully taken in the message. INTERNATIONAL LISTENING ASSOCIATION
(ILA) CONVENTION
 The ILA's 30th annual convention promises to be another great event! This year's theme: "Growing Our Listening Legacy." The convention will take place this month, March 19-21, in Milwaukee, WI. I wish that I could be there! I hope my ILA friends have a wonderful, inspiring, enlightening, fun time-and I look forward to next year's convention in New Mexico! "I AND YOU"
Ah, relationships! :) What's the secret? Listen, listen listen! In honor of listening month, I have published a micro-story called "I and You" on the blog at LindaEveDiamond.com and also a video version of "I and You" on Youtube. "I and You" is a third-person story about two characters named I and You. I becomes so enamored with I's own reflection in You (the ways in which their visions and beliefs align) that I forgets You is an individual and not a mere reflection. I needs to listen! (And no, that's not a typo!) Peering into I's soul through I's eye, we see that I isn't seeing You clearly. I is in love with I, but You demands, at last, to be seen.
