Hi Everyone, 
I'd like to start by thanking everyone for supporting our pipe maker of the month. It's really been a great success. I 've received a lot of positive feedback about it. What I find very fascinating about this business is how helpful and kind fellow pipe makers are to each other. Everyone acknowledges someone who has inspired them, helped them and supported them while starting out. It seems all pipe makers are willing to share their techniques, ideas and even their own mistakes to better the craft for all. I experienced the kindness shown by our customers and pipe makers at the show last month in Las Vegas. I enjoyed meeting all of you and everyone made me feel very welcome. All my customers have been especially helpful to me as I learn this whole new world of Pipe Making.
I'd like to thank Neil Kaiser for being our November Pipe Maker of the Month. Neil is a fairly new pipe maker and customer of PME. I found his pipes to be very interesting and unique, so I thought he'd be a good inspiration for all new pipe makers. We wish Neil a lot of luck with his pipe creating and upcoming web site.
With the holidays right around the corner, many family holiday traditions come to mind. For instance, on Christmas Eve, we were given one package to open. It was "always" new PJ's so on Christmas morning we would look good for pictures. Now our family is in the fourth generation of this tradition. To teach our children to give as well as receive, we select an Angel from the Mall Tree to buy gifts for a needy family.
This year I would like to start a PME holiday tradition. I have enlisted our own Paul Hildebrand to create a Holiday Pipe. This will be a First Edition, one of a kind, Christmas Pipe. Every customer that orders in December will have their name put in a drawing. Pipe Makers Emporium will draw one lucky name to win our Holiday Pipe. I hope this will be fun for all to enjoy. The drawing will be held on Monday, January 4th.
I will be out of the office from Christmas Eve until January 4th. (We will be open both weeks except not on Thurday, December 24th and Thursday, December 31st) Santa's Elf will be here to take care of your needs in my absence.
