Famous Pipe Quotes:
"Pipe smoking is the most protracted of all forms of tobacco consumption. it may explain why pipe smokers are generally regarded as patient men--and philosophers."
Jerome E. Brooks
"A pipe is the fountain of contemplation, the source of pleasure, the companion of the wise; and the man who smokes, thinks like a philosopher and acts like a Samaritan."
Edward George Bulwer-Lytton,
1st Baron
PIPE POEM IN FAVOR OF TOBACCO
Much victuals serves for gluttony
To fatten men like swine;
But he's a frugal man indeed That with a leaf can dine.
And needs no napkin for his hands, His fingers' ends to wipe,
But keeps his kitchen in a box, And roast meat in a pipe.

Famous " Pen " quotes:
"Here is a pen and here is a pencil, here's a typewriter, here's a stencil, here's a list of today's appointments, and all the flies in all the ointments, the daily woes that a man endures -- take them, George, they're yours!" Ogden Nash ( American writer of humorous poetry )

Congratulations Andrea!
I was right, she didn't wait till the 17th, instead on Friday the 2nd of October, weighing in at 7pds 14ozs Sadi Joy made her grand entrance. I haven't seen her yet, but I understand she looks like mom. With Thanksgiving right around the corner they definitely have one more little one to be thankful for. Best Wishes to Mom and Dad.
November is the month in which we ponder what we have and can be thankful for. So to keep in step, I gave it some good thought. Some things I came up with were, of course my family and friends. My job here at Pipe Makers Emporium, with the economy the way it is now, we learn to appreciate the fact that we are lucky to be working. I really feel for those who have been affected by the down swing of the economy. I am also very thankful for the living in Arizona, though I'm still waiting for that cooler weather. It is still hitting a 100 degrees in October. At least it isn't snowing; I'll give you that. While thinking of things to be thankful for, I thought of our new colored Ebonite rods. We've waited a long time for them. While pondering Arizona and it's unique beauty like the red rocks of
Sedona , the
Coyotes howling at the moon, the all mighty Saguaro
Cactus , and the
Gold hiding in the mystical Superstition Mountains, this gave me an idea for the new color names for our color ebonite. What do you think?
(Left to Right ) Coyote, Cactus, Gold Rush, The Sedona Orange/Red will be here in a couple weeks.
I'm also thankful to all of you, for taking the time to read our newsletter. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and stay safe....
