Famous Quotes:
"Nowhere in the world will such a brotherly feeling of confidence be experienced as amongst those who sit together smoking their pipes."
1844, Doctor Barnstein
PipePoems:
WHEN MY PIPE BURNS BRIGHT
When my pipe burns bright and clear, The gods I need not envy here; And as the smoke fades in the wind, Our fleeting life it brings to mind.
Noble weed that comforts life, And art with calmest pleasures rife; Heaven grant thee sun and rain, And to thy planter health and gain.
Through thee, friend of my solitude, With hope and patience I'm imbued; Deep sinks thy power within my heart, And cares and sorrows all depart.
Then let non-smokers rail forever, Shall their hard words true friends dissever? Pleasure's too rare to cast away, My pipe, for what the railers say!
When love grows cool, thy fire still warms me, When friends are fled, thy presence charms me; If thou art full, though purse be bare, I smoke and cast away all care!

Greetings Everyone,
I have to start by saying YEAH! Summer is over. Here in Arizona we've had about 4 months of 100 degrees plus... One long hot summer.. We are looking forward to October and cooler weather.
I wish to thank Brad Pohlman for being our pipe maker of the month. What a great looking workshop, set in the beautiful NorthWest. Hope everyone had time to check out his web site and see the great pictures and beautiful pipes.
Now that October is officially approaching, we'll be able to start the count down with Andrea. Her newest little Girl should make her grand entrance around the 17th. ( I think it maybe sooner than that ). We're wishing her the best and will miss her in her absence. Good Luck Andrea.
Oktoberfest has officially begun. I found this web site www.oktoberfest.de It's very interesting. I never knew how Oktoberfest got started, so I read up on the history. Pretty interesting beginnings and I can't believe how big the celebration is. The largest celebration, of course, is in Munich, but here in the states it's in Cincinnati Ohio. It's become a worldwide celebration, that's understandable, who wouldn't like a Holiday for beer drinking?
Happy Oktoberfest to all my German pipe making and pipe lovin friends..
Now, October also has one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. It's one holiday where I can be myself and no one notices. Speaking of "witch" Check out our web site for our "October Witch Hunt" Specials. You'll have to search the web site to see what I've brewed up.
