Beat the heat and cool down at the Chamber's August Mixer on Wed., August 19 from 4:30 pm-6:30 pm. People's Place Fundraiser - August 19

Join Shag Restaurant's fundraiser to help support People's Place, Wednesday, August 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  15% of all food purchases goes to People's Place.  Shag Restaurant, is located at 37 Wilmington Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, 302-227-6869. No coupon necessary, just say you are there to support People's Place.
10th Annual Canoe & Kayak Race - August 22 
The non-profit Milton Theatre will host the 10th Annual Broadkill River Canoe & Kayak Race on Saturday, August 22, 2009. The 10-mile paddle race starts at Oyster Rocks Rd. and ends at Milton's Memorial Harbour. For more information on this popular fundraiser or to register for the race click here.
Ride to Benefit MADD - August 23
ReindeerThe Georgetown Police Department will sponsor the 1st Annual "RIDE TO BENEFIT MADD DELAWARE " on August 23, 2009 at Harley-Davidson of Seaford, DE. Join them for a fun-filled day with good food, good music, good company and fun for everyone as you become a vital part of the "Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving". Chamber Luncheon - August 26
Jack MarkellThe Hon. Jack Markell, Governor of the State of Delaware, will be guest speaker at the August Chamber Luncheon on Wed., August 26 from Noon to 1 p.m. at the CHEER Center on Sand Hill Rd. The luncheon is open to the public, but reservations are requested. The cost is $10.00.
