YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION IS NEEDED

Brothers and Sisters,
Below is information that you have already received regarding upcoming Collective Bargaining training that the State Lodge is hosting here in Kansas City.

We have lodges beginning to bargain all over the state.  We have lodges & chapters in our area that have contracts and some that are entering negotiations.  The may 29th, 2007 Missouri Supreme Court ruling guaranteed your right to bargain collectively.  The door has been opened.  The flood gates will open after the National Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act of 2009 (H.R. 413) is likely signed into Federal Law later this year.  This law would guarantee our rights to bargain nationwide and will put even more procedural protections in place.

The one thing we have learned since the Missouri Supreme Court Ruling took effect is that there is A LOT OF WORK that goes into being able to effectively bargain.  You have to have training to negotiate professionally or money to pay someone to negotiate for you.  But the ground work and pre bargaining details and preparation are UP TO YOU.

THIS CLASS WILL GIVE YOU THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO BEGIN TO SECURE YOUR FUTURE;
  • UNDERSTAND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
  • HOW TO PREPARE AND GATHER THE NECESSARY INFO
  • NEGOTIATE PROFESSIONALLY AT THE TABLE
  • RESOURCES AND WHERE TO GET THEM
  • HOW TO WORK FOR YOUR MEMBERS
  • HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIVES THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN THE PROCESS
  • THIS IS ALL GREAT NEWS!!
Lodge #50 is working hard to get ready to help and to get you ready but YOU HAVE TO PARTICIPATE.

The Lodge is going to pay for the tuition of any of our members that would like to attend this training!  You simply have to take the time to attend and learn.  This is an excellent class and having it locally is a great benefit to us.  You need to take advantage of it!

Chapter Presidents/Leaders it is incumbent upon YOU to attend this training and to send as many of your members as you can.

Members - I urge your to CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY and register.  Time is running out!!!

The reason police officers in other states have better pay than us, better benefits than us, procedural safeguards to stop Mickey Mouse discipline and a true system to appeal unfair discipline is because of one thing...   THEY HAVE A SAY IN THEIR LIVES AND JOBS - THEY HAVE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.

GRAB THIS OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE HEAD START - IT'S FREE TO YOU
All you have to do is invest your time - YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

SIGN UP NOW!!!!  Email me your info and call me today!!
