Our Family Is Growing!
We have exciting news on many fronts this month, all having to do with our growing Southern Comforts family. Thanks to you, our loyal customers and consignors, we continue to prosper. Our stores in Dunwoody and Alpharetta will soon have a sister store in the East Cobb/Roswell area. Southern Comforts III will be accepting consignments in the next few weeks. And... as a part of our extended family...(kind of like that special Aunt who lives nearby)...our owner, Jenny Eid is a partner in a new clothing consignment store. Consigning Women has opened next door to us in Dunwoody. Wall of Fame
Our light is shining this month on Dawn Conley, a bright and happy spirit on our staff. Dawn works regularly in our Dunwoody  location and you may also see her on occasion in Alpharetta. Dawn and her husband Mike are long time residents of the Atlanta area, having raised their kids Jason and Alison here. She finds that being a grandparent to Carson and Riley, her granddaughters, has become her favorite pastime. When not doting on those two little girls, Dawn's versatility is manifest in her other "loves": helping friends and family declutter and organize their homes, sewing, reading and participating in her church group. She is also our resident healthy eating guru and keeps us supplied with her homemade granola...the best in the world! Dawn's passion for decor and home furnishings made Southern Comforts the perfect spot for her to land in 2008. She loves the joy of helping shoppers discover a great buy and helping consignors part with their things knowing they will go to a good place. She counts the friendship of her coworkers as a great blessing. Dawn's energy and bright smile will draw you in and assure a great shopping experience. Southern Comforts III
Opening Soon
Our Southern Comforts family continues to enjoy great success in Dunwoody and Alpharetta...so much so that we are adding to the family. Our sister store, Southern Comforts III, will begin accepting consignments in the next few weeks. We have selected a location in the Roswell/East Cobb area at the intersection of Hwy. 92 and Sandy Plains next door to Publix in the former RiteAid location. We will share our progress and continue to keep you informed, so keep an eye out for our grand opening announcement. It won't be too long before you can bring your used treasures in for us to sell for you...and shop with us to take home lovely new things to brighten your surroundings.

Dunwoody Tour of Homes
The 38th Annual Home Tour sponsored by the Dunwoody Woman's Club is just around the corner on October 6th.  We are especially excited about the tour this year because the home of one of our staff members, Jill Snipes, is on this year's tour. We are also very proud to be hosting two design seminars at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. in our Dunwoody store as part of the day's agenda. Tickets are available now...and are going fast. Or, stop at our Dunwoody location and buy your tickets while you shop with us. Consigning Women officially opens on Friday, October 1st, and is currently accepting apparel and accessories for consignment. So get to work on those bulging closets and make some cash in the process! Bring your freshly cleaned and pressed apparel, handbags, shoes and accessories so that we can take a look and let you know what we can sell for you. No appointment is needed! And, shop with us for your fall/winter wardrobe starting on Friday.

We all need to take time to feather our nests!! That is, freshen our lives by freshening our homes. Being a transition season, Fall is an excellent time of year to change it up...do something different and put on a fresh face before winter and the holidays arrive. No need to take on huge projects to bring a fresh look...just add new pillows, a lamp or small accessories...maybe a different arrangement on your table, or a new piece of art. A key to assuring your home is a peaceful haven is to be certain that you decorate with things you really like. That is, don't just add items because they match...add them because you enjoy them. You should surround yourself with things that make you happy. So pick one or two items in your home that could use a change (or that bring a frown when you look at them)... and find things to replace them that put a smile on your face. They are not just "things", they're part of your home, and they reflect you. So, take some time to "feather your nest" and create your peaceful corner of the world.
