The Thrift Talk Diva Lands in Atlanta!
Barb Tobias, nationally known as the "Thrift Talk Diva" is going to be in Atlanta in September and we are so excited that she has agreed to make appearances at both of our stores. Barb has spent her lifetime  transforming trash to treasure and is a master at creating stunning interiors, dressing clients like supermodels and turning the forgotten into the unforgettable. She inspires through her professional speaking and coaching business. Her new book: "Tossed and Found" shares her journey to transform a newly frugal nation to purchase, purge and profit through thrift. Her presentation for us: "Frugal is Chic: Decorating the Diva Way" promises to be informative and fun. Barb will be in our Dunwoody store at 1:00PM on Friday, September 10th and our Alpharetta store at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 11th. Dunwoody Tour of Homes
The Dunwoody Tour of Homes is fast approaching - I know, I can't believe August is almost over  either!! But, it's true...the 38th Annual Home Tour sponsored by the Dunwoody Woman's Club is October 6th. We are especially excited this year as the home of one of our staff, Jill Snipes, is on the tour...and as part of the tour, our Dunwoody store is hosting two design seminars at 10:00AM and 1:00 PM. Tickets are available now...and you know they go fast. Check out the Dunwoody Woman's Club website by clicking on the link below to purchase tickets and see pictures of the homes on the tour. Or, stop into our Dunwoody location and buy your tickets while you shop with us. Wall of Fame
Our featured staff member for August is Laura Maxwell, an associate in our Alpharetta location. Laura is a native of Roswell, and currently resides in Cumming with husband John and son Grant. Her family is completed by her cat, Rufio and  a miniature schnauzer named Gabriel. Laura has been with us since 2008, having joined to assist with the opening of the Alpharetta store. She is a creative soul who counts anything "crafty" in her repertoire. Laura makes lovely jewelry and specializes in refinishing and painting furniture. She is a gifted decorator who can assist in making selections to beautify your home. Laura's creativity and her experience in the furniture industry is a valued asset to our team. She is a driving force in our Alpharetta store. Laura says she feels God's blessings every day and especially so in the great team of people she has found in her coworkers as well as the consignors she serves. Look for Laura's bright smile and personal touch when you are in Alpharetta. You will have a great shopping experience! |

The birds are leaving the nest....that's another way of saying school is back in session. Whether you have little ones just starting out, medium ones climbing those bus steps each morning or big ones off to college, it's a huge tug on the heart to see them off. Our wish this month is that all the kids you know are safe and happy and thriving...and that you take a minute or two or three for yourself after they go. You deserve it!! And last but certainly not least, a special wish for the teachers...those wonderful folks who see to our kids everyday...we wish for them the good health and peaceful days they deserve for all they do for our kids.
