SOUTHERN COMFORTS MARCHES TO FREEDOM'S BEAT!
Our Southern Comforts family is a patriotic group. We appreciate our differences and our freedom to have those differences. This year, we are pleased to celebrate our country's independent spirit by participating in the Dunwoody July Fourth Parade. The parade will be held on Monday, July 5th and begins in our parking lot at 9:30am on Mt.Vernon Rd. The parade will proceed on Mt. Vernon Rd. to Dunwoody Village, where the celebration and festivities will continue. Be sure to bring your family and friends to this wonderful and fun event and join us in celebrating the birth of our country. And... don't forget to look for our float in the parade!
Note: We have special store hours for July 4th weekend so that our staff can celebrate with their friends and families.

Spotlight on Amazing Consignments!!
This month, we want to feature some amazing consigned pieces in our stores...
 First, we have two pianos - one in Dunwoody and one in Alpharetta. Both are vintage mahogany baby grands in excellent condition and they play beautifully (we insist they be tuned after delivery to us!) So, if that special grandchild is taking lessons, or if you or a family member just love to play, you need to see these great values.
This dining table is breathtaking and has to  be seen to be appreciated. It is a very large 84" round - and is a solid wood pedestal table with a lovely metal base. See it in our Dunwoody store!
Looking for that focal point for your family or game room? This granite top bar is full of personality and beautifully crafted. It would be a lovely addition for entertaining in that special place in your home. |

Wall of Fame
This month we would like you to meet a very special staff member: Cindy Norten. Cindy and her husband Mike, along with their son, Matthew, have been Dunwoody residents for over twenty years. Cindy joined Southern Comforts in 2003 to help us open our  Dunwoody store and has become an invaluable resource for us. Her almost thirty year career as a flight attendant with United Airlines provided her with the skills and orientation to customer service, for which she is a role model. She has endless energy and an effervescent personality that puts a smile on the face of anyone she encounters. In her spare time, Cindy has two passions. She is an accomplished golfer and can be found most sunny days frustrating her opponents with her excellence on the course. Her name can be found on most of the trophies at Dunwoody Country Club! She is also a music lover, and plays the piano, which like all she attempts, she does very well. Cindy's favorite part of being a member of our family is interacting with people. Be it customers, consignors or coworkers, everybody knows and loves her. Look for Cindy when you are in the Dunwoody store and your day will be brighter! |

New in Our Alpharetta Store...
As we told you in our May newsletter, Mark and Jenny met Ty Pennington, star of ABC's "Extreme Makeovers, Home Edition" at the High Point Furniture show. Ty's line of furniture, manufactured by Howard Miller is centered on the concept of doing the unexpected: accenting with bright colors on furniture pieces and mixing them with more traditional pieces. And, being the master carpenter that he is, Ty has built special features into his designs to enhance their use, like electrical strips to accomodate media equipment. Stop by our Alpharetta store to see our new pieces in this great new line of furniture.
This lovely kitchen island is an import piece of solid wood with inlaid marble. It has storage underneath on the carved shelving as well as extra dining and workspace that pulls out on either side. If you are redoing a kitchen or have a space to fill, this could be your piece. Matching sideboard and tall cabinet are also available. |

Pick-up available Monday-Friday, 10-3; fill the truck for $65 (local pick-up, within 5 miles of either store).
