What could be more fun than spending an entire day with kindred spirits who love consignment shopping? Well, here's your opportunity....Southern Comforts is a member of Atlanta Consignment Stores, a group formed to enhance your consignment shopping experience in and around Atlanta. ACS is hosting a bus tour for a full day of shopping in the locations we like to think of as Atlanta's best kept secrets. This event will be on May 15th. Five different buses will be leaving various consignment locations across Atlanta and "stopping for shopping" at several locations throughout the day....and lunch is included!!! So, gather your friends, or just escape by yourself and join us for a great day. Make new friends, find new places to shop and learn more about the consignment experience! This month are delighted to introduce you to Kay Kopp, a Southern Comforts staff member in our Alpharetta store. Kay has been with us since shortly before we opened our doors in our Alpharetta. Kay brings a wealth of experience in customer service from her over 18 years working at the  Dunwody Country Club. Kay, and her husband John, are residents of Woodstock where they share a home with Brandy and Bucky, two dachshunds and Josephine and Bessie, two cats. The lights of her life are her daughter, Jaclyn and three grandkids: Sophia, Gabriel and Joshua. Kay is a many faceted gal with hobbies that include photography, scrapbooking and bargain shopping. She also spends as much time as she can at the beach. Kay loves the people at Southern Comforts...her coworkers, consignors and customers. When you are shopping in our Alpharetta store, look to Kay for friendly service and a warm smile...another example of our most valued asset, our staff. |

Exciting News from the High Point Furniture Show
Mark and Jenny just returned from the High Point Furniture Show with really cool stuff and tales of an exciting encounter!! Tops on their lists of things at the show was meeting Ty Pennington, star of ABC's "Extreme Makeovers, Home Edition". Ty has teamed with Howard Miller to develop a line of  furniture that was featured at the show. Jenny and Mark met and spoke with Ty who was excited to learn about Southern Comforts, since he is an Atlanta native. Ty's line is centered on the concept of doing the unexpected when mixing and matching in your home, from different pieces to colors and patterns. Look for some of Ty's pieces to hit our stores in mid-May along with other manufacturer's new lines of furniture and accessories including lamps, home accessories, chairs and lots of cool things from the show. |

Southern Comforts accepts your consignments 7 days a week, no appointment needed for items smaller than a breadbox. Larger items can be previewed via email at jenny@southerncomfortsatlanta.com. Pick-up available Monday-Friday, 10-3; fill the truck for $65 (local pick-up, within 5 miles of either store).
