Welcome!
And a warm greeting to everyone who came by during Portland Open Studios - it was great to meet so many of you in person! And for those of you who joined the mailing list during Wordstock, I'll be hard at work this month finishing up edits to Artmaking as Playful Prayer, my book re-scheduled to come out in January!
I hope everyone had a creative and inspiring Halloween and Dia de los Muertos - if, like me, you're already thinking about next year, check out my Sugar Skull tutorial on the blog - these make wonderful additions to any Day of the Dead altar or "ofrenda" honoring your loved ones who have passed.
Of course, with Halloween in the rear-view mirror, crafty holiday gift-making goes into high gear. There's still room in this Wednesday's Spiral Notebook Necklace Class or you can sign up to learn how make everyone in your family a custom Guardian Night Light.
Now, Go Make Stuff!

Mexican Sugar Skulls

Every month, I try to offer a free DEMO on the blog for your crafty inspiration - and I just put up a new one on how to cast and decorate Mexican Sugar Skulls! I know, Dia de los Muertos is pretty much over, but this will give you head start on next year . . . and the good news is that you can use the same basic technique to cast and decorate sugar angels or sugar snowfolk for your holiday gingerbread house - you'll just need to find the right 3D candy molds!
