Hello -
So my big news is that I finally got my own on-line shop open on eyesaflame.etsy.com! For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Etsy is a great on-line marketplace of handmade wonderfulness. Right now, my shop is full of little badges of courage - pinback buttons to remind you of how creative you are and how important it is for you to deeply engage in the act of making . . . and I've been in a making frenzy!
I'll be selling buttons, along with some of my Memory Jewelry and Junk Drawer Jewelry this weekend at Crafty Wonderland at the Convention Center . . . and I've scheduled classes for the new year! A new ArtMaking as Playful Prayer starts on January 20th, and I'll be teaching Junk Drawer Jewels at Bodacious Beads in Hillsboro starting January 17th.
And if you're feeling the need for a little last minute holiday craftiness, I'll be posting a couple of free ornament-making demos on the blog next week!
You can visit www.eyesaflame.com for more information about these and other upcoming classes and events, or just scroll down.
Have a warm cup of cider for me,

Bridget Benton, Creative Spark Eyes Aflame

Little Things ART SHOW
|
|
Little Things at Guardino Gallery

Guardino Gallery, my favorite Portland mixed-media gallery, is having a show full of small art - all of it no larger than 7" x 7". I've got a selection of encaustic collage and assemblage work in the show, and the work of 37 other local artists is also featured! It's an amazing array of local talent - and it's up through December 28th.

Eyes Aflame Adornments on Etsy is Open!

First buttons, and then the world!

These little 1" buttons make me smile . . . encouraging creativity, challenging the line between art and craft, and hopefully making the world a slightly better place. One inch at a time.
Right now, they're the only thing I'm selling at my on-line Etsy store . . . but over the next few weeks, I'll be adding more of my jewelry and other artwork.
Place an order in my shop before the end of the year, mention the newsletter in your message to the seller, and I'll include one free button of your choice!
