Greetings!
The Lord has graciously been answering our prayers during our NY/NJ Weekend Outreaches: "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest" (Luke 10:2). Answered Prayers!By His grace, we are seeing a steady increase in laborers in the past few weeks and pray that these laborers will remain consistent. Ultimately, we desire all to become committed laborers in their local church in the area of evangelism. Last Saturday, we had an army of 23 soul winners in Union Square. The team was a beautiful sight to see - Black, White, Indian, Spanish, Portuguese, mixed! Some came later in the afternoon, but all were united in spirit! We had many college students come out from both NJ and NY! Many were reached with the gospel and the Lord knows what type of ground the seeds were sown on (dry, rocky, fertile - Luke 8:4-15). We met people like Alex, a homeless 18-year old, who seemed genuinely convicted under the law and gospel. Although he did not repent, he walked away grateful for us sharing the message and reflecting deeply on his spiritual state. Some CCN members have begun preaching on their college campus. Below are pictures from the Montclair State University Campus. | | Dorothy gave her testimony emphasizing repentance and faith in Jesus. She also did some poetry! |

New Campus Leaders!

We have been praying according to Luke 10:2 for additional Campus Leaders, especially mature, non-student Campus Leaders, who will dedicate themselves to the work of the ministry.
Indiana Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)
Barry Atwell is currently working as the IUPUI CCN Campus Leader in Indianapolis, IN. Barry is a full-time evangelist with IUPUI being one of his main outreach camps.
Barry has a passion to see the gospel proclaimed and to train Christians in evangelism. He has led evangelism training in various churches and is starting his own non-profit ministry, ACT for the Gospel to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and train and encourage Christians to do the same.
Barry has proactively been working with CCN since the moment he was approved and managed to help CCN remain as an IUPUI chartered organization.
Pittsburgh State University
Jenifer Pepling is our newest CCN Campus Leader. Jenifer faithfully preaches each Thursday with a few other brethren at the University of Pittsburgh, where she graduated from. Despite the many people who could not continue to labor with her on the campus over time, she continues to preach rain or shine and with her 5-year old son, who also preaches on occasion, too (see pic below)!
A Repent and Witness Evangelism Camp graduate, she has trained Christians in biblical evangelism through the Way of the Master Basic Training, has led Living Waters evangelistic "Origin of Species" Book Giveaway, and has also attended a couple Ambassador Alliances, as well!
Jenifer found about CCN through Campus Leader John Chisham, who encouraged her to become a Campus Leader and to attend Repent and Witness Evangelism Camp. After attending the camp, the LORD gave her the desire and she applied! Who can YOU encourage to join CCN?

Shawn Holes Interview: Part I
 | | Shawn Holes with wife Lisa and son William |
Shawn Holes and his family serve the Lord full-time as a family ministry going to college campuses, open air preaching, street witnessing, preaching in churches, and anywhere the Lord leads (www.luketentwo.com). Brother Shawn has partnered with CCN for the past three years to be our guest speaker and "Open-Air Preaching Trainer" during our yearly Repent and Witness Evangelism Camp. CCN recently invited Shawn to open-air preach at Montclair State University (MSU) in New Jersey and it was a blessing! The gospel was preached and many students came out to listen even though it was raining. The CCN members at MSU were so encouraged by the open-air preaching, that this school year they host a weekly outdoor event called "Testimony Tuesdays," where students open-air preach, share their personal testimony, sing, and use their gifts to share the gospel with the whole campus (see pics above).
In this interview, he shares with us from his experience:
Last semester, you were invited by the Montclair State University CCN chapter to preach open-air on campus as a club-sponsored event. Because of the campus's negative reaction to former campus preachers and your recent publicized arrest in Scotland for preaching against homosexuality, many people from the administration and the MSU Gay Lesbian Bi-Sexual Transgender (GLBT) dept. came out to monitor your preaching in the rain. What was your personal experience and how did it differ from other campus outreaches, where you were not a sponsored guest?
"We cannot control how other preachers are delivering their twisted and arrogant and proud messages to these young students. We can't worry about it nor should we even really care. We also cannot control the way that students respond to the preaching of the Gospel as I believe that we are certainly doing that. Our job is to fulfill the great commission, preaching each day as though it will be our last. We need to be desperate for souls. God will take care of the rest. Other preachers may precede or follow us onto campuses. Sometimes the students will even try to quote what some of these preachers might have said. But what we should do is just give it to the Lord. Some preachers hardly even bring up the name of Jesus while others may only talk about Jesus and never mention the law or judgment of God. Some quote scripture and take it out of context while others don't use scriptures at all.
"Specific student groups will always be monitoring us as preachers whether they be Christian or not. Their blindness to the Good News though will bring them to lengths and make false accusations about us as believers. We are not out to target specific groups. We are on the campus to glorify God. The sinners will hate us because of their sin. They are monsters of iniquity and haters of Jesus if they are not obedient to Him through repentance and faith.
"My experience on the MSU campus was one of basic and, of course, mutual respect. A couple of times I was misquoted as having said things that I never said. I believe the students actually showed quite a bit of respect to me and also to the event that was held. This was really no different from other campuses that I have preached on. After the preaching at MSU a few students came up and asked questions which is very typical of what happens after preaching. Often times, as it was at this campus, many small groups of people broke off into discussion groups and most of them were talking about the things that were just preached. By the way, that is why it is great to have other Christians within the crowd to get into those groups and get involved in the discussions, perhaps even continuing to share the Gospel.
"I can't think of any other time that I have been sponsored at a campus. It was great to have a group that I knew and that I could trust right there alongside me."
