This little guy is counting on you!
Thank you to everyone who answered our urgent plea last month for donations.  As always, they were used for food and medical care. And of course thanks to everyone who has ever donated or donates on a steady basis.

We are extremely pleased to be able to provide more space for these 'lucky dogs'.  And they are lucky, they have survived abuse, neglect, starvation and in some cases torture. Thanks to caring people, like you, they now have food and drinking water, and are surrounded by loving staff and volunteers while awaiting a special home.
New Digs for Baja Dogs

new refuge 5
A wonderful couple recently donated 3 hectares of land just outside of La Paz, and we have been working hard to complete construction of a new refuge there where the dogs will have plenty of room to run and play in safety. We will keep you posted on our progress!

In the meantime, please feel free to visit the new shelter, and take one of our beautiful babies for a nature walk.  The desert scenery is incredible and extremely tranquil.
Happy Tails
Minnie and Dazey get a new leash on life.

ChapiHere are our new little puppies, two sweet sisters named Minnie and Dazey.

We couldn't stand to see them separated in order to be adopted at the
refuge, so we simply made our family a little larger.

Yep, we're the Angelina and Brad of El Centenario.  We already love them to bits.  Fern and Brian

 CHAPI

ChapiThis little girl was brought in by a kind stranger who found her roaming the streets. He took care of her until we had space available at the refuge. She loves people and will sit and listen to every word you say as if she understands everything. She is very sweet and loving. Now a 2-3 month old puppy, Chapi will remain a small dog and would make the perfect lap dog.

Volunteers at Baja Dogs BoothHere in La Paz we are so blessed to have an organization like Baja Dogs to save our 4-legged friends from the harsh realities of life on the streets.  It is made possible by the efforts of ordinary people who want to make a difference.

If you can donate a little of your time,  email Fern, our Volunteer Coordinator, in either Spanish or English.

How Can You Help?

If you live locally, you can adopt a dog or puppy, or drop off a bag of Purina puppy or adult food.  You are also welcome to come out and take one of these guys for a walk, or simply pat a few heads. (By the way, we need leashes!)

If you live in Canada or the States you can hold a fundraiser, make a donation, or foster a dog while attempting to find him/her a loving home.  In Vancouver Canada, we only need foster homes; we have an adoption agency  who will search for an acceptable home for your guest!  Please consider helping in whatever small or big way you can.

Sincerely,

Dhorea Ryon
