I need wisdom!!!

A meditation by the Rev. Dr. Beverly Wallace

"I need wisdom. The quality that will make clear to me the significance, the relatedness of things that are a part of my daily experience - this I lack again and again.
I need wisdom to cast a slow and steady radiance over all my landscape in order that things, choices, deeds, may be seen in their true light - the light of the eternal and the timeless."

Howard Thurman's Meditation of the Heart

In his book, In Search of Wisdom, Dr. Wimberley  (the Provost of the Interdenominational Theological Center where the Lutheran Theological Center in Atlanta is housed) writes about the sources and nature of Rev. Dr. Beverly Wallacewisdom with regard to human sexuality in the black Christian community and raises the question of how the black churches' educational ministry serves as a wisdom guide...

Copyright No-No?
A concern regarding placement of copyright permission lines within bulletins arose from this year's Assembly.

Q: Should the permission line for each hymn be printed with the hymn itself or can all permissions be printed on one page at the end as they were in this year's worship book?

A: Augsburg Fortress Copyright Department states that either way is fine.  It may be an advantage to print with each song should the song be separated as with an insert, but it is entirely acceptable to save all permissions until the last page.

For more copyright information, please go to http://www.augsburgfortress.org/copyrights.  Thanks to those conscientious folks who follow the guidelines!
