Frequently Asked Question---What do I need to bring with me?
- A Bible for our Bible devotional time.
- A sweater or jacket: Even if it is hot outside, the temperature in the meeting rooms can be a little chilly.
- Cash for food and concessions: The convention center consessions areas will be open during the assembly. Coffee will provided for attendees Saturday and Sunday mornings and will available for purchase during the rest of the weekend.
- A 3-ring binder: If you would like a binder, please bring one with you, a paper cover for Assembly materials will be provided.

| Tennessee flooding disaster donation site |

Lutheran Services in Tennessee (LST) has set up a disaster donation site to help those in need in the aftermath of the flooding earlier this month.

Lutherans Renew Worship with 'Partners in Evangelical Worship' | |
 Renewing worship for relevance in today's world is a priority for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). To help make that happen, "partners in evangelical worship" are being identified in the 65 synods of the church.

Lutheran Student Movement at East Tennesee State University | |
 Conference 6 of the Southeastern Synod gives God thanks and praise and is joyful to report that as of this May, there is an officially recognized Lutheran Student Movement group on the campus of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee!
Lutheran Student Movement is a student-led, Christ-driven organization active at the local, regional, and national level. It was created to promote the active participation of students in the life and mission of the Lutheran Church on their campuses, in their communities, and as individuals.

ELCA World Hunger Leadership GatheringSept. 16-19, 2010

This annual event gathers hunger leaders in ELCA synods and networks and equips them to speak on behalf of ELCA World Hunger to raise money for and awareness about this ministry we share throughout the church. The 2010 gathering will be held in Detroit, where we will learn about and engage the unique issues in this part of the country related to hunger and poverty. |

Say Yes to the Dress |

 Watch for Pastor Steve Schulte on an upcoming episode of TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress."
In March he performed the wedding ceremony for Kevin and Melissa Kelly. He found out later that the TV series was filming their ceremony. The episode will air in summer/early fall 2010.
