Well it's already August and summer vacation is quickly winding down. Sorry, probably not a reminder you really want to hear yet! So Amarillys and I say - finish your summer strong! Hopefully that means you will come with us to Sudden Impact Camp August 15th-19th. This year's camp will be awesome. We will have a great time forging new friendships and enjoying the great outdoors!
This month the Lord has impressed on us the importance of connecting with one another. We know by Jesus' example that He chose 12 disciples for a special mission and season of fellowship. We also know He had a unique relationship with 3 of the disciples - Peter, James, and John. Jesus recognized the value of frequent interaction and the building of friendships. In the process of building those relationships, Jesus was able to directly impart into the disciples the nature of who He was. In return, He was also able to establish and accomplish His purpose through them! God's design from the beginning has been for you to participate in what He is doing on the earth...and His purposes are always rooted in relationships and serving others! So commit to building some deeper and more intimate friendships here at NXG. God will bless you as you do.
As a result of the preceding focus, this month there will be a strong emphasis on getting involved in an NXG small group - called Life Teams. There will be many teams for guys and girls to choose from (Jr. High and Sr. High). We are excited to announce that Kandice Olson has accepted the position of NXG Life Teams Director to help us accomplish this goal. Many of you know Kandice as she has been involved with NXG for years. She is passionate about NXG and building relationships, and is ready to help you get involved in a Life Team...maybe even lead one of your own! Don't wait...find out now how you can get started!
