EASTER EGG HUNT

Apr 2011 Easter Egg HuntEnjoy a morning of fun with the whole family! Look for Easter eggs and collect as many as you can.

 

Join us Saturday, April 9th at 10:00 AM. Cost is $2 per child for members, $5 per child for program participants.

 

Please don't forget to bring a basket and a camera to capture this special day!

 

Contact our Welcome Center with any questions about registration.

FLOAT FRIDAYS

April 2011 Spring Break Camp

Looking for family friendly activities for children under the age of nine? Spend Friday evenings in the pool! Activities on Float Fridays include swimming, games and music related to each Float Friday's theme.

 

Join us every Friday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Teaching Pool. There is no fee for members to participate.

 

Parents must accompany their children to these events.

OLD POINT TIDEWATER TRIATHLON

April 2011 Old Point Tidewater Triathlon

The Hampton Family YMCA is excited to be partnered with the Old Point Tidewater Triathlon for the second year in a row!

 

We are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of positions - you and your family can work together while helping your community. Volunteers recruited will help families in our area be a part of the Hampton Family YMCA through our Strong Communities Campaign.

 

Volunteer opportunities on Saturday, June 11th include:

-Parking

-Body Marking

-Timing Chip Handout

-Timing Mat Monitor

-Transition Area

-Swim Course Monitor (on shore)

-Bike Course Monitor

-Run Course Monitor

-Water Stations

-Finish Line Monitor

-Refreshments

April 2nd at 9:30 AM.                

 

We are excited to host the Newport News Piranhas, Luter Marlins, R.F. Wilkinson Tiger Sharks, Victory Barracudas at the home of the Hampton Snappers!

IMPACT MAGAZINE

You may have noticed our new Impact Magazine with Program Catalog arriving to your homes and in our branch. We are very excited to be able to share a few member's Y stories about how the Y has helped with weight loss, leadership development, and renewing faith.

 

You will also find information about the programs available at our branch and others on the Lower Peninsula - Greater West Point, Luter, Newport News, R.F. Wilkinson and Victory.

 

The Impact Magazine and Program Catalog are also available online at www.peninsulaymca.org. Please contact the Welcome Center with any questions.

SPRING BREAK SCHEDULES

During Spring Break all swim and youth programs will also be on break. These include swimming lessons, Kids in the Kitchen classes, Y Dots and Doodles classes, Y Spirits Cheerleading and Tumbling.

 

Our Pool Lobby Entrance will also be closed Monday, April 4th through Thursday, April 7th for Spring Break.
