IT'S NOT TOO LATE

Feb2011BingoThere are still two days to purchase tickets for our annual Girls' Night Out with Bingo!

 

Girls' Night with Bingo is a fundraiser to benefit the Hampton YMCA's 2011 Strong Communities Campaign.

 

Join us 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 3rd at the Virginia Air & Space Center. Ticket price is $60 - every dollar goes to the YMCA. Ticket includes dinner and non-alcoholic beverages; there will be a beer and wine cash bar available. Everyone goes home with a prize!

STRONG COMMUNITIES
Jan 2011 Strong CommunitiesMany of you celebrated our Strong Communities Campaign Kickoff Event at the Welcome Center on February 22nd - thank you for coming and being a part of your Y!

 

Strong Communities is the Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA's annual giving campaign. This campaign helps secure funds for families, children and adults in our community to participate in Y programs and membership. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to better themselves spirit, mind, and body.

SUMMER CAMP
Summer Camp registration is under way! March 2011 Day Camp
  
To ensure that each camper receives the highest quality experience possible, we must limit enrollment for each session. Please bring copies of: school physical (must be within the past 24 months), shot record and original birth certificate to complete your registration. Due to state licensing requirements, incomplete registrations cannot be processed.
  
Registration is held at the Hampton Family YMCA, Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM or by appointment.
  
Current School-Age Participants and previous campers registration begins March 1st.
  
YMCA Member registration begins March 7th.
  
Open registration begins March 15th.
  
Camp is open 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. Cost is $85/week for Members and $100/week for Program Participants.

POOL LOBBY ENTRANCE

Just a reminder that the Pool Lobby Entrance is available for your convenience 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday.

Depending on where you park in our parking lot or where you're headed in our facility, you may find this entrance a time-saver!

GOOD LUCK SHAMROCK RUNNERS

The Hampton Family YMCA would like to wish good luck to all of the participants in the Shamrock Marathon - 1/2 marathon, Children's marathon, 8K and Final Mile - on March 19th and 20th in Virginia Beach.

 

If you are interested in training for a marathon, please consider signing up for 8 Weeks to an 8K. This program prepares the first time competitor with bi-weekly meetings including training techniques and a group walk/run. At the end of the program, particpants are physically prepared to complete their first race!
