GIRLS' NIGHT WITH BINGO

Feb2011Bingo

Join us Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Virginia Air & Space Center for Girls' Night with Bingo. Doors open at 6 PM - come socialize, enjoy food and beverages, play Jackpot Bingo with prizes for everyone! Tickets are $60 and include all non-alcoholic beverages.

The annual Girls' Night with Bingo has been our Strong Communities Campaign special event since 2004. In the first year, we sold 58 tickets - generating over $2,500 for the campaign. Last year we sold over 150 tickets. This year we're aiming for 240!

This has become a highly anticipated event by women in our community. Reserved tables of 8-10 and individual tickets are sold prior to the event. Every dollar of the ticket price goes to the campaign.

We have been generously supported by local businesses through their donations of sponsorship dollars, food, flowers and gifts - and every attendee has received a prize. We like to remind people that "everyone is a winner at the Y!"

Register at the Welcome Center or call us at 757-722-9044 for more information!

STRONG COMMUNITIES CAMPAIGN KICKOFF

The Y is the unparalleled cause for strengthening community because we are the community. We are a powerful association of men, women, and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Feb 2011 Strong Communities Kickoff

We believe that lasting personal and social change can come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

The Strong Communities Campaign is an annual volunteer fundraising campaign that secures funds to assist people from our communities in their time of need; no one is turned away from YMCA programs due to inability to pay full fees.

The Hampton Family YMCA's Strong Communities Campaign Kickoff will be an open house event on Tuesday, February 22nd from 4:00-8:00 PM. We are inviting the Hampton community, our members and their guests to enjoy the Y and all that we have to offer.

AQUA ZUMBA

Aqua Zumba - known as the Zumba "pool party," Aqua Zumba gives new meaning to the idea of an

invigorating workout. Feb 2011 Aqua Zumba 1Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class.

Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief!

Join us Thursdays in the Lap Pool at 6:45 PM. Look for more class times coming soon!
