Please join us as we bring a happy holiday to families in our community through our annual Angel Tree! This year the Hampton Family YMCA is partnering with H.E.L.P. and Healthy Family Partnership.

How you can help:
  • Select an angel off of our tree in the Welcome Center lobby.
  • Sign out your angel at the Welcome Center.
  • Return your angel and your unwrapped gift by Sunday, December 20th.

Coats For Kids Program

You may know that the entire community comes together to Coats for Kidsprovide warm coats to people who need them through WAVY's program. Businesses donate new coats and individuals donate gently used coats, which are cleaned free of charge by area cleaners, then the coats are distributed at various locations around Hampton Roads. The coats are free to anyone who comes in. If interested in donating new or gently used coats, you can find locations at www.wavy.com.

The Hampton Family YMCA is serving as a distribution sight for this year's Coats for Kids program. If you or someone you know is in need of a coat this winter please stop by! Coats will be distributed on Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

For more information, please contact the Hampton Family YMCA at 757-722-9044.

Another Way to Make a Difference this Year

As you shop for holiday gifts, think about contributions and consider tax-deductible end-of-year donations; don't forget the many ways the Hampton Family YMCA provides services in the community to those who normally could not afford to participate.

Your donation, whether small or large has great value. We have many people who are going through tough times, job losses, sickness, and family members who have a spouse or parent deployed to fight for our country who can benefit from Hampton Family YMCA programs.

If you are interested in making an impact in our community, please feel free to contact Brianne Pietronicco, Membership and Communications Director, at (757) 722-9044 ext. 209 or brianne.pietronicco@peninsulaymca.org to see how we can accept your check or cash before the end of the year.

Family Volunteer Night a Success!

Thank you to everyone who donated food and help create food boxes for this Thanksgiving!  Because of the generosity of our members and Calvary Assembly of God Church, we were able to create and donate 56 boxes of food for families in our community.
