WATER UPDATE
from Kevin Gunderson
Ashland City Commissioner
Please excuse the second message in less than one week. Ashland experienced a water valve break just outside the city water plant under Winchester Avenue.

According to Assistant Public Services Director Marion Russell, the valve was repaired and or replaced and water  is to resume at 2:55. However, residents will likely see decreased pressure and the most impacted area is South Ashland. Marion Russell says it will take several hours to restore  pressure throughout the water system.

The 3 million gallon tank on Debord Hill is full and the three million gallon tank behind Kroger is nearly full. Adequate fire protection measures were put into place this morning. Again, water pressure will be restored over the next several hours. That is all the information I have at this time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I regret the inconvenience this has caused. See picture at DailyIndependent.com
