Extra city crews are spreading salt and trying to clear city streets. At least five trucks are in service salting roads. Crews will be out 24 hours a day.

Typically, main roads, hilly areas, and area around KDMC are first to be treated. 

 

Garbage pickup may be sporadic as the landfill is closed due to weather. City Manager Steve Corbitt says all garbage should be picked up by Friday.

 

Extra firefighters are on duty to handle downed power lines.

 

 

As of 11:00 AM, Time Warner reports a cable outage in Richmond, KY has caused disruption of most channels except local broadcast stations such as WSAZ and others. Local office expects full service this afternoon.
