April Drop in Listings for homes The number of homes listed for sale in many U.S. cities continued to fall in April in what some analysts see as a sign that the market may be nearing a bottom. But the picture is clouded by uncertainty over how many foreclosed properties will hit the market. The supply of homes for sale in 29 major metropolitan areas at the end of April was down 3.6% from a month earlier, according to figures compiled by ZipRealty Inc., a real-estate brokerage firm based in Emeryville, Calif. Middletown OKs expanded parking lot
MIDDLETOWN - Council on Monday unanimously granted zoning, subdivision, conditional use and land development approvals needed by SEPTA to proceed with plans to provide 90 more parking spaces at the terminus of its R3 Media/Elwyn regional rail line. The new parking lot is expected to be developed on the Elwyn Road side of the tracks, on a portion of land SEPTA plans to acquire from the Elwyn facility that serves individuals with disabilities. The additional spaces are aimed at alleviating an on-going parking problem at the Elwyn station, as is SEPTA's intent to strictly enforce "no parking" restrictions along Elwyn Road. Illegally parked vehicles first will get a warning on their windshield, noted SEPTA attorney Tom Musi, and then repeat offenders will have their vehicle ticketed and towed. More...
