Developer THP suspends operations
Harleysville-based developer and home-builder TH Properties (THP) has suspended operations for re-structuring, according to a recorded phone message from the company. The company, which once was once billed as 'America's Fastest Growing Builder,' has several developments still under construction in the area.
No other details have been released. Employees were seen moving office items out of the THP design center in Harleysville Tuesday afternoon, and paper has been placed over the windows.
Lower Salford Township police said they were asked to provide extra patrols outside a THP employee meeting Monday evening, but no problems or incidents occured.

10-year sentence in foreclosure scam
A New Jersey woman was sentenced today to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay $7.26 million in restitution for a foreclosure scam operated out of Gaddel Enterprises in Langhorne and Morrisville, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Lizette Morris, 42, of Ewing Township, pleaded guilt in July 2008 to seven counts of mail fraud.
Between April 2006 and July 2007, Morris solicited money from investors by claiming that she was buying tax-foreclosed properties and reselling them at a profit.
In reality, she never bought any properties and paid early investors with money from subsequent investors.
