Dear Forklift Fan,
Here's how:
1) Go to www.ExpressNightOut.com/BestOf
2) Look in the "Shopping" section
3) Nominate Community Forklift for "Best Local
Hardware Store"
4) Lather, rinse, repeat! You can vote as often
as you like today. You can also ask your
friends to nominate us - just send these
instructions to everyone you know!
Here's why:
Winning this award will give Community Forklift publicity and credibility (which means large construction companies will be more willing to donate their excess materials!)
As more folks find out about us,
* more good stuff will be kept out of the landfill,
* more folks can afford repairs,
* more green jobs will be created, and
* you'll find more good stuff here in the store!

Community Forklift's Materials in Action
We want to showcase a few of our customers' recent creations to get you thinking both functionally and creatively about how to put reclaimed materials to work in your own projects!
The problem?
Trying to match 100-year-old flooring
The solution?
Community Forklift!
"I am writing as contractor, Joseph Fugere (Conspicuous Cleaning Co.) who recently found a treasure of lumber at The Community Forklift. The owner of a 100 plus year old Victorian on 42nd Avenue in Hyattsville was in need of replacement lumber for his 3rd floor bathroom. The CF had the most exquisite flooring that not only matched but superseded the quality and look of the present 100 year old heart pine and yellow pine mixed flooring.
The cost was unbeatable and I would have been hard pressed to find a better match anywhere else in the area, and acquired in such lengths that the entire bathroom floor could be spanned with a single board.
--Joe Fugere, Conspicuous Cleaning Co.

Planning a Rustic Wedding?
Check out Megan's great ideas, & send us your photos!
Megan Wickless writes,
"I came by your store about two months ago for some supplies for realizing some of my visions for my wedding. I've attached photos of the black shutters that I bought to hold the tree slices I used as reception name cards, and the wooden planters my husband and I built from your reclaimed wood.
I love how your store is all about reimagining old materials into something new and great. I'll keep the visions coming, so you'll see me around again soon."
