VINTAGE EASTER POSTCARD

Please note that we will be closed this Sunday, April 24th, so that our employees and volunteers can celebrate the Easter holiday with their friends and family.

However, we will remain open for our regular hours (9am - 6pm) on Saturday April 23rd.

Come on, you know you wanna...
PIC OF OUTREACH VOLUNTEERS
...spread the word about reuse!

This time of year is packed with spring events and community festivals, and it is a great chance to let folks know that they can donate renovation leftovers to us.

We still need a ton of outreach volunteers over the next month.  Home Depot has millions of dollars to advertise - but to spread the word about reuse, we just have YOU.  Check out our calendar, then email Ruthie or call 301-985-5180 to sign up for a shift!

PIC OF RAINBOOTSApril Sales

April showers keeping you away?  With these deals, it will be worth it to pull on your rainboots and head to the 'Lift!

10-cent Granite Scraps

PICS OF GRANITE

We're extending the granite scrap sale!  Pay just a dime for granite counter scraps that are one square foot or less!  Sale does not apply to granite tile.

The scraps make great edgers for your garden beds or walkways, or can be used for coasters or cheese platters. This discussion on Garden Web has more good ideas.

GRANITE PICS

$2 Granite

This month, pay $2 per square foot for small granite counter pieces (measured at 3 square feet or less).  Use them to make beautiful radiator covers or tops for small tables!

$5 Tree Gators

They retail for $25, but you can get them here for just five bucks each (limit 5 per household).  PIC OF TREE GATORSAccording to the manufacturer, Treegator bags are designed to properly water a newly planted tree or shrub by slowly and evenly providing deep water saturation directly to the root zone, with no run-off or evaporation.  If you have a thirsty large tree with a thick trunk, you can use two gators back-to-back.

Just fill the bag once a week... that's it.  Installation is easy - zip it around the trunk, fill it with water, and walk away.

$5 Sliding Door Panels

PIC OF SLIDING DOORS

Pay just five bucks apiece for sliding door panels that are marked at $24 or less, including mirrored panels and sliding shower door panels. (Sale does not apply to other styles of doors, sliding door sets in frames, or doors without orange price tags).

Don't need to replace a sliding door panel?  Mirrored panels offer all sorts of creative reuse possibilities.  Or, use sliding panels with insulated glass to turn a screened porch into a sunroom, to bring more light into your workshed, or to build a greenhouse!

PIC OF TOILETS50% off Toilets

Take half off all toilets marked with orange price tags at $20 or less (Sale does not apply to toilets with prices over $20, or toilets without pricetags)

 $5 Wall-Mounted Sinks

PIC OF WALL MOUNT SINKSWe have a lot of wall-mounted vintage and modern sinks right now, so we're pricing them to go!  Look for the sinks with $5 orange price tags (Sale does not apply to sinks marked at other prices, or sinks without pricetags.  Cannot be combined with other sales)

30% off Kitchen & Bathroom Sinks

PIC OF STAINLESS SINKSTake 30% all modern & vintage sinks priced at $100 or less, including stainless, cast iron, pedestal, and cement cultured marble. (Sale does not apply kitchen cabinet sets that include sinks, bathroom cabinet vanity sets, or sinks without price tags.  Cannot be combined with other sales).

PIC OF COLOR SINKS

While we're on the topic of sinks...do you dream of a vintage powder room?  Right now, we have a bunch of bathroom sinks in hard-to-find colors!

50% off Chairs

PIC OF CHAIRSDue to our mission, we focus on building materials - so we don't pick up many furniture donations.  Somehow, though, chairs tiptoe through the back door in the middle of the night.

We'll show those sneaky chairs!  We're putting chairs and sets of chairs on sale this month for half off the orange price tags (Sale does not include benches, chairs with white price tags, or chairs without price tags).

50% off Window Sashes

PIC OF WINDOW FRAME PORCH DIVIDERTake half off the marked price of standard window sashes.  With this sale, most sashes will be just $1 per square foot!  (Sale does not include framed windows, unusual shapes, or specialty textures like pebbled, opaque or stained glass sashes.  Sale does not include sashes from our Salvage Arts consignment partner, or sashes without orange tags)

You can use several for a space divider.  Crafters like to repurpose them for picture frames, wall art, and jewelry organizers.  Gardeners know they are great for building cold frames to start your seeds.   Ella, one of our Forklift Fans, makes mini-greenhouses - she donated a beautiful one to our last silent auction!
