4th Anniversary this month.  Can you believe it?!?
Four years of keeping good materials from going to waste, creating local green jobs, and making repairs affordable for thousands of homeowners, small businesses, and nonprofits - all thanks to your support.

We hope all of our friends and Forklift Fans will stop by.  Enjoy the special sales, and share your project stories and Forklift memories for a chance to win great prizes!  More details at the bottom of the newsletter...

We still need
donations & artists for
Community Forklift's December gift fair!

containers

This winter, support your favorite reuse store by donating to our gift fair!  Proceeds will support our work through the lean winter months, and you'll earn a tax deduction.
There are three ways to participate:

1) Donate home
decor, tools, or small
items.
Donations should be something that you would be proud to give as a present.  Just stardrop it off at the store during business hours, from now through Dec. 13. Unfortunately, we cannot take clothing or other fabric because it gets too dusty here.
Good for the gift fair:
That beautiful vase you don't have room for.
Bad for the gift fair:
the chipped plastic kitchenware you've been meaning to take to Goodwill.

 2) Create a piece of art - or two or three - to donate! lamp craft
Amateur crafters and artists encouraged, and you'll receive a tax deduction.  If art is your business and you would like some publicity, let us know and we'll feature you in our website and newsletter (which reaches almost 5,000 Forklift Fans).  Just drop your piece off at the store during business hours from now through Dec. 13.

2) We are still accepting exhibit applications from crafters & artists.
Would you like to show and sell your art on one Saturday in December?  If your work is chosen, we will give you a table and space for free.  Preference is given to work that includes or celebrates reclaimed materials, and to folks with interactive displays.
To submit your work for consideration, send your name, phone number, which Saturdays you are available, and descriptions/photos of your work
to
 [email protected]
ASAP.

Why are YOU a Forklift Fan?
Send us your stories or photos by Nov. 18 for the chance to win great prizes!

The other day, we got a call from a customer who repairs homes for folks in need.  It was inspiring to hear about the families and seniors that have been helped because his nonprofit could find affordable materials at Community Forklift.

We know there are many more stories like this, and we'd like to hear them!

Why are you part of the Community Forklift family?  Do you have a story to share, or a memory of the store back at the beginning?  Have you finished a project using reclaimed materials?  Share your story, memories, or photos to help us celebrate our anniversary!

We will be grateful for your stories at any time, but if we get them by Nov. 18, you will be entered for a chance to win a $50 Community Forklift gift certificate, energy efficient lightbulbs, or cool reusable bags from our friendly, green trash-hauling friends at Junk In The Trunk.

Drawing held 11/30/09.
To enter, please send an email to [email protected], or drop off stories, memories, or photos at the store.
Please include:
1)  Your name
2)  Your email and phone number
