Come see what's new at the warehouse!
Hyattsville, MD 20781 301.985.5180 Store Hours: Wed 12-7 Thurs, Fri, & Sat 9-5...

Do you make crafts or fine art with what you find at Community Forklift?
We would like to celebrate the
artists who give new lives to old materials!
There are two ways to participate:
1) Donate a piece (or two or three!) to our December Gift Fair - just drop it off during store hours between now and Dec. 10. Amateurs encouraged. Proceeds will support our work through the lean winter months, you'll earn a tax deduction, and if you would like some publicity, we'll feature you in our website and newsletter (which reaches over 4,000 Forklift Fans).
2) Show and sell your art at the warehouse on one Saturday in December. If your work is chosen for the exhibit, we will give you a table and space for free. Preference is given to work that includes or celebrates reclaimed materials, and to folks with interactive displays (like Deciduous Dave, who makes walking sticks and juggling pins from salvaged wood - he's going to give juggling lessons!)
To submit your work for consideration, send your name, phone number, which Saturdays you are available, and descriptions/photos of your work to [email protected]

Now Hiring!
Community Forklift needs someone who can occasionally work at the register and in the warehouse. We are looking for someone with retail experience, an easygoing personality, and some knowledge of home improvement.
If you are willing to work on an as-needed basis, please send your resume to [email protected] lift.com or drop it off at the store.

Save the date!
Community Forklift will be celebrating our
4th Anniversary on Wednesday, November 18th
from 12-7 pm. Can you believe it?!? Four years of keeping good materials from going to waste, creating local green jobs, and making repairs affordable for thousands of homeowners, small businesses, and nonprofits - all thanks to your support.
Please stop by, enjoy some cake, and share your Forklift stories and photos!
