Most recently, Mr. Jones has worked for the Lake City Community School - keeping all the computers up and running (no small task) and championing the installation of a state-of-the-art weather station (Doug also did all the behind-the-scenes fundraising).
Doug also serves on the Lake Fork Community Foundation which fund-raises and provides those funds to local charitable organizations and endeavors.

Town Wide Yard Sale - July 18th. Sign up to be on the map. 944-DIRT or online Lake City DIRT has been identified by the Colorado Economic Development Commission as a Contribution Project. This means a portion of your cash and in-kind donations (25% and 12.5%) can be applied towards Colorado state taxes. This applies to all 2009 donations.

Lake City DIRT is pleased to announce a new publication "Lake City - A Kid-Friendly Town" which includes family-oriented excursions and kid-activities such as word scrambles and dot-to-dots.
