The English class has been working on resumes to submit to the Youth Corps program and other summer employment opportunities. Stimulus funding provides assistance to business owners who hire youth that qualify for assistance. For more information and the forms to fill out, please contact DIRT.
Lake City DIRT has been identified by the Colorado Economic Development Commission as a Contribution Project. This means a portion of your cash and in-kind donations (25% and 12.5%) can be applied towards Colorado state taxes. This applies to all 2009 donations.

Save the Date: Arbor Day celebration in Lake City, May 23rd, expanded event - sponsored by the Green Commission. Activities include a presentations by Mayor Iiams, Dave Casey of the Colorado State Forest Service, and Dan Courson of Historic Preservation, appearances by Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl, a green fair that includes using recycled materials, solar hot water systems, photovoltaic demonstrations, river restoration project and acide drainage tie dye. Participate in the River or Lake Cleanup, plant a tree, recycle metals at the metal drop off, recycle electronics and CFL bulbs and make financial contributions to support continued green & sustainable practices. Where? Town Park, 10 am to 1 pm.
