| Resident Survey
Reviewed |
|
At the recent Coffee & Conversation, we reviewed the results of the Resident Survey.
"Boardwalk and streets in need of repair" in part led to 2007 boardwalk project.
80% of respondents purchase building materials locally.
Main reason for not shopping locally is that products are not available - identified as an opportunity for consumer awareness and "Think Local" campaign.
List of types of food residents want to see in restaurants and estimated times per week would purchase - helpful for existing or potential business owners.

What's the plan, man?
Lake City DIRT has spent the last several months knee-deep in planning. The Board of Directors has drafted a two-year Strategic Plan to guide revitalization and historic preservation efforts, with an emphasis on long-term viability for the organization. The four committees - Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Restructuring - are developing project budgets and work plans for 2008.
We are excited to move forward with the Colorado Center for Community Development to develop an aesthetic plan for historic downtown Lake City, facilitating local ideas and concepts into a cohesive whole.
Whether you are interested in committee work, project-specific tasks, researching other communities and efforts, being an ambassador for the Lake City community in your area, or brainstorming opportunities for the future, we welcome your feedback and involvement.
Your financial contributions allow Lake City DIRT to continue these efforts. Thank you.
Respectfully,
Kristie Borchers Lake City DIRT |
