Labyrinth Retreats at The Grotto
The Walk of Spirituality and Intimacy (Couples Labyrinth Retreat)
Saturday, August 21, 5-8 p.m.
This twilight retreat will focus on the dance of intimacy and spirituality that couples experience as they share the path of life. Couples will walk the labyrinth individually, connecting in the center, meditating and then separating for the journey outward. Discussion will focus on parallel paths, closeness vs. distance, feeling togetherness, intimacy, and goals for greater mutual spirituality. This retreat is limited to 10 couples. Patricia Flynn, LCSW and Spiritual Director, will facilitate. Meet in The Grotto Conference Center at 5 PM. Saying Our Goodbyes
Saturday, September 11, 9 am-12 pm
Use the labyrinth as a tool to walk the journey of grief. Our culture expects us to grieve for as little as a month or two. Our bodies can take three to five years to process the loss. Use this sacred path as a metaphor for the journey of grief. Arrive at the center and sit in God's presence. Spend time at your pace. Walk out with comfort and renewal. Journals are important to this retreat. Join Father Ignatius Kissel, OSM, and Patricia Flynn, LCSW and Spiritual Director, for this opportunity to examine your losses and life changes. Meet in The Grotto Conference Center at 9 AM. A Meditative Tool for the Rosary
Saturday, October 9, 9 am-12 pm
October is the month dedicated to Mary and for reciting the rosary. Come experience the Servite practice of meditating on the rosary while walking the labyrinth. The center flower of the labyrinth is dedicated to honor Mary. Experience her love and grace as you remain in her presence. Offer your prayers to the Mother of God through your journey which parallels her life. Father Ignatius Kissel, OSM, and Patricia Flynn, LCSW and Spiritual Director, will lead. Meet in the The Grotto Visitor Complex Theater Auditorium (Main entrance to Visitor Complex) at 9 AM.
