5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE



4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.  Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
 Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

Crow Farm Rescheduled!
If you missed the word the Crow Farm trips last week were rained out and rescheduled for Tuesday October 12th at 10am and 4pm - bring your $3 per child if you can make it to the new date! And drop Katie an email to RSVP if you can. 
 
Mix It Up!
Need an afternoon of adult activity? Come join the Mom's and their significant others for a potluck and six-pack swap at the Lakewood Hills Clubhouse on October 17th at 1pm. Bring a snack to share and a six pack (if desired) to mix and match with. There will be football on, so no one (you know who they are) can complain!

SMC Walking Group
 Come join us for exercise and good company!  The SMC Walking Group is scheduled for Monday evenings at 5:15 and Thursday mornings at 10:00.  The first week will be the Monday October 18th and Thursday October 21st at the Canal by the Marina Playground. Everyone is welcome, and bring your kids or come alone!  We will meet in the parking lot closest to the canal.    E-mail Carolyn Hietsch, carolyn222@gmail.com with any questions or to get on the list to recieve updates and future locations. "SMC Monster Mash"

Saturday October 30th 3-5pm
Hemisphere's
$4.00 per family
There will be:
-costume parade
-bobbing for apples
 -donuts on a string
-monster mash music
-Halloween games
 
Hemispheres will also be offering a special menu and pricing for SMC members who want to contine celebrating upstairs with their family for dinner.
You must be prepaid by 10/22 to attend the event.  Send checks to the SMC PO Box.
 
Mothers of Infants Group

First Get Together
 
Join us on Wednesday October 13th at 6:30pm at Borders in Hyannis! We will meet for a warm drink and a snack at the cafe.  Come meet other mothers with infants and get out for an evening of adult conversation! This group is for mothers of non-walking infants and will meet each month.  E-mail Carolyn Hietsch, carolyn222@gmail.com if interested!

Sandwich Mothers Club Playgroup Registration

 
 Please complete the questions to assist us in matching you with a playgroup! Playgroups are designed primarily for children who are not yet school age. Each playgroup will have a "lead mom"-- however, all participants should expect to rotate hosting the group, or to "host" at another location-- i.e., Discovery Center, playground, etc.
