UI Student wins Critical Language Scholarship
 Brandon Jennings -- a recent grad and IP intern -- is one of three UI students awarded the prestigious

UICHR One Community, One Book Choice 2012
 Kao Kalia Yang's poignant narrative, The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir, tells the story of her family's journey of assimilation from the jungles of Laos to the neighborhoods of St. Paul, Minn., after the Vietnam War and is this year's book of choice for the 12th annual One Community, One Book reading program sponsored by the UI Center for Human Rights. 7 students funded for human rights internships
Seven UI students will intern with human rights organizations and NGOs around the world this summer thanks to funding from the annual UI Center for Human Rights Kenneth Cmiel Human Rights Internship Program. The Gap Year dilemma
