Oakhurst Chocolate & Wine Festival
Imagine a beautiful fall day, warm sun, blue skies, green and gold vistas beyond the boundaries of a still lush green park. Now also imagine a picnic in that park, with your choice of California wines, appetizers from some of the most well known restaurants in the region, chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and unique artisans showcasing the best in holiday gift giving ideas. It is called the Oakhurst Chocolate and Wine Festival, and you are invited to attend. October 9 - 10, 201o from 10 am to 5 pm at the Oakhurst Community Park in the heart of downtown Oakhurst. This event is in its 19th year and has become one of the top showcase events for Eastern Madera County.

Trunk -N-Treat Halloween Night
The Oakhurst Area Chamber and the Oakhurst Community College Center, are looking for "Trunkers" (volunteers to act as treat givers). "Trunkers" are asked to arrive by 5:30 p.m., provide and hand out treats to the children from 6:00-8:00 p.m. from the trunk of their cars. We hope you enjoy the camaraderie of the event in providing children with a safe, enjoyable and memorable celebration. "Trunkers" decorate yourselves and your cars (no masks or gore please). Be prepared for a couple of hundred "Treaters and a hauntingly good time!

The List Keeps Growing Are you In It? Final Week To Get Your Name On The List
The Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that sales for its upcoming community map are now underway. The maps are on target to print next spring, and will be distributed in and around Madera County plus on line via Google, the Chamber website, and Village Profile. All business advertisers will be linked via the map page on our website to their own ad and Google Map! The full-color, glossy community map will feature a street-level community map showing local points of interest. SBA's Patriot Express Loan Initiative Nears $500 Million Mark
In just three years' time, the U.S. Small Business Administration's Patriot Express Pilot Loan Initiative has supported nearly $500 million in Patriot Express loans to small businesses owned and operated by veterans, reservists and their spouses.
Patriot Express Loans, which can be used to start or expand a small business, increased over the past two years due in part to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Photo Safari Fall Excursions
Please note that Photo Safari is offering Fall excursions and hoping to take out Fall Yosemite Visitors to capture the colors in the Park! The photos represented in the attached Post Card were made last year in October and November. The Half Day and Full Day packages are the same as posted on www.photosafariyosemite.com but subject to road closures due to weather. We can still go into the park with snow conditions and save clients the cost of buying and putting on snow chains. Looking forward to the coming weather changes! If you know of someone wanting to go into the Park soon to take advantage of the Falll Colors, please forward this promotion!
