BUSINESS ADVOCACY
Knowing Your Resources Yields High Rewards
SCORE Logo New1In 2008, our 4 County Metro area (Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings) lost over 8,000 businesses and another 12,000 are projected to go under in 2009. Dim predictions for local business owners who are struggling to keep their doors open, as consumers are scaling back on their spending. Now more than ever, business owners need to have the necessary tool set to succeed in this competitive market.  SCORE "Consultants to America's Small Business" offers confidential and no-cost advice to help business owners through these difficult economic times. More>>>

Does Your Business Comply with ADA Regulations?
BBB LogoSome businesspeople find out about their responsibilities under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) when they are served a notice of a lawsuit filed against them for non-compliance.
The ADA gives federal civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. It guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, State and local government services, and telecommunications.  More>>>

Study Shows Many Not Prepared For Likely Need of Long Term Care
By Mariyln Rigg - State Farm® agent
State Farm Logo finalA 48-year-old father of two is left with permanent injuries after an auto accident. A 66-year-old recent retiree suffers a serious stroke. An otherwise healthy 75-year-old grandfather falls and breaks his hip. These people have one thing in common. Quite unexpectedly they're each likely to need some form of long-term care, through nursing care at home, in a nursing home or at an assisted living facility.  More>>>
