Already February! Where has the time gone? We hope you have spent at least some of your January at the hot yoga studio.
Thank you to everyone who came out for the "Healing Hands for Haiti" benefit class. This was a special benefit class supporting the earthquake victims in Haiti. It was a great success and 100% of the proceeds went to the Healing Hands for Haiti International Foundation Inc. For more information, check out www.healinghandsforhaiti.org. Giving to others is important, especially during times like these.

Some more new and exciting improvements are coming your way this upcoming weekend! Please make note of the announcement below that our afternoon classes on Saturday, February 6th, will be cancelled. We are having new flooring installed during the afternoon that will greatly benefit every patron's experience at Huntington Beach Hot Yoga. We are always looking for ways to enhance your hot yoga practice and feedback is welcomed!

Our February Student of the Month is Terice Ziemann! Terice is originally from Huntington Beach!
- When did you start practicing hot yoga?
"I started back in October of 2007. I found out about Huntington Beach Hot Yoga through one of my clients and decided to try it with my daughter."
- How often do you practice?
"I get here at least three times a week."
- Why do you practice? What are the primary benefits you experience?
"I practice for my health and mental relaxation, the return of my flexibility and for friendships! I am a personal trainer and dancer; Hot Yoga helps with old injuries and improves my balance. I love the repetition and it is still hard, no matter how long I have been coming. I feel like there is no limit with hot yoga because I never feel completely successful yet I am always trying!"
- How has your hot yoga practice impacted or changed your life?
"Hot yoga is a new form of movement that I've grown to enjoy and love! For me, it's not about exercise, it's about the breathing and relaxation. This is so good for you mentally."
- What's your favorite posture?
"Triangle -because it gives me a deep stretch in the hips and enhances strength in the quads. I can do my best triangle ever and it is still the hardest. I love how it works everything and is never easy." |
