Meet the Staff

Paulette

Paulette Fitch

Paulette has been with Finishers, as Executive Assistant to Nelson Malwitz, since 2000 and has been able to see and participate in the phenomenal growth of the organization since its beginning in 1998. Her previous experience in the banking industry ended in 1979 when she became a stay-at-home Mom. While remaining at home, she began and operated her own business and also volunteered in the public school system and served as a Chapter Leader in a non-profit organization. She has been active in church ministries, serving in music ministry, short-term mission trips, as a Sunday School teacher, and boys & girls club leader. She and her husband currently serve as Greeters at Walnut Hill Community Church.

She has been married to Ed for 30 years; Ed recently retired from Corporate Aviation and now volunteers with the local ambulance service as an EMT. They have two grown sons, Marc and Kevin.

The Bridge serves to keep you connected with the amazing ministry and impact of Finishers Project.  We welcome your feedback, so please call or write.

Business As Mission:  The Next Great Wave of Evangelization

"Commit thy ways to the Lord, trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass."

Most of us would recognize these words as coming from Psalm 37, but they are also the Vision Statement for Galtronics and are displayed over the entrance to their 300-plus employee factory in Israel.  Started in 1978 by Ken Crowell, they now also have plants in China and South Korea which are managed by believers.  In those early days Ken was trying to combine commerce with a Christian witness.  His pioneering efforts have helped pave the way for an exploding movement sometimes referred to as Business As Mission (BAM).

This short summary of Ken's ministry was taken from the November issue of Christianity Today.  We encourage you to get a copy of that issue, read all the related articles, as well as find additional books and information on "kingdom business", "kingdom companies", "for-profit missions", "market-place missions" "micro-enterprise missions" and "Great Commission companies."

In Finishers we believe that Boomers are part of God's plan for expanding his kingdom at this time in history.  The market-place skills and experience represented in the Boomer generation are the elements needed to further develop this present-day strategy for kingdom growth.  We are a generation uniquely prepared by God to leave a kingdom legacy.

This is the front entrance of our new office building!  We are blessed!

We've Moved!

Last month we told you that we were going to be moving our offices.  That move has taken place and we are settled in to our new "digs"!

We are extremely pleased with and thankful for the wonderful office space that God has provided for us!  It will ultimately make us more efficient and productive in all that we do.

We have just over 2,000 square feet with a beautiful reception area, 4 offices, a conference room, a copy/storage room, kitchenette, restroom and a large open area where we can set up cubicles for additonal offices as needed.

Please make note of our new address:

Another "Yea God" Story:  It's A Journey!

Charlene and I are now assigned to an Austrian ministry that provides church-based Biblical training and we will be serving out of Germany.  Thanks again!  Our mission journey started in Charlotte, NC at a Finishers Forum more than five years ago.  Our journey is still just beginning  We suggest you consider creating another form with a name like "Praise the Lord, the Real Journey Begins!"  Your servants and friends, Dan & Charlene Scarborough.

bill poff  We are excited to
   introduce you to
   Bill Poff and Julie
   Field who have just joined
   the Finishers Project team!

Bill is our new Web Developer.  We are
very thankful for God's  provision of Bill and thrilled to see our staff growing in this strategic area.

Bill grew up in a small town in Virginia where he attended a picturesque country church with family, friends and neighbors. He met his wife, Kathy, in church and still attends the same church to this day, where he laughingly refers to himself as the bouncer in the preschool Sunday school class.

Bill has been involved in the advertising business, in Web development and hosting, is a professional photographer and will continue his photography as well as working with Finishers.  He will be taking our various websites to another level and adding many upgrades designed to better serve our inquirers and ministry partners.  Bill, we're glad you're with us!!

Julie joins us as the Director of the Coaching Network.  She comes to Finishers with 20 years of retail sales management experience as well as 4 years of full time ministry and non-profit management.

She has served oversees teaching ESL-Business in Gdansk, Poland and has traveled extensively to work along side missionaries in the Philippines and Poland. In 2006 she joined a team from her church who have adopted a people group in Ethiopia.   She travels twice a year in order to help oversee the progress of the Jesus Film translation, meeting the needs of school children and micro loans to poor women and orphans.

Julie is thrilled to join the team at the Finishers Project.  She hopes that by bringing talented, spiritually astute and ministry neutral coaches alongside the people who submit their profiles that they will become better eqipped applicants for our ministry partners, thereby impacting the Kingdom for eternity.

Welcome aboard Julie!
